Lessons Learned from Years with Designs

Some Trends of Website Design that Produce Will Make Your Site Better

It is observed by some that the web design of the early years was kind of boring and monotonous, reasonably so because anything new is always subject to improvement. Fortunately nowadays, several web design trends are constantly evolving that make new websites more interesting.

It is observed that white space is somewhat overused now and search engine channels find it a little off, but everybody is on a wait and see attitude.

There is now a minimalist vibe nowadays that shows minimalism is not anymore for barefoot runners and Amish people but also for major websites. However, take note that practice is necessary for minimalism to be perfected. Meaning, you still have to follow the principles of basic design like its major aspect of rule of threes like dividing the page up into thirds and content are placed on these axes. There is also the triangular placement for a minimalist website, wherein various objects are positioned in a triangular trajectories thereby creating a pleasing image.

Compartmentalizing is another trend, although this is not something new, but is now applied to the site design. A new flavour is added to the compartmentalizing content through this flat design approach and judged to be compelling, and it is described as bringing the content towards the edges of the page thereby making one image meet another, thus a seamless image is created.

The next trend is coloring of both sides of the line, a contradictory to our past lessons, and this is combined with overlapping images and text lines producing a knock out design.

The next trend that web designers are experimenting is the use of grids and other patterns to fill the white space without sacrificing the flow of the content.

The next trend feels like a title from a movie termed as going vertical, where in doing the content, there is much re-arranging and re-shaping of it in a fun process. The concept is to balance the vertical text to that of the horizontal text in order to create a sort of movement, and if done correctly, a viewer’s eyes will be led down the page to the highlighted content.

The so-called two-tone approach or trend is being applied today by web designers in their technique where a pastel color is chosen to be paired with a solid color. There are some sites now that use this technique on every page and element of the site that could be sometimes over the top, but it is the trend so why not.

Illustrations are in to balance out the minimalist concept, and this is looked as an exciting trend that both illustrators and designers love to know.
