This
historic house, erected at the turn of the century was converted into
a delightful restaurant in the early 1980's by the Romano family and
is conveniently located in the heart of Julian's downtown.
Here, intimate conversations
are enhanced by a low key setting with traditional red and white checkered
tableclothes, soft lighting and candles. Adjacent to the
dining room is a cocktail lounge; perfect for an evening drink. Patio
seating, under the stars, is seasonal and diners are bathed in the
fragrance of spring flowers.
The
old world cooking is stylish and plentiful. All selections are
made on the premises and feature traditional italian dishes as well
as innovative specialties. Whether your mood is for
- spicy apple cider sausage
- pork loin in cinnamon, garlic and whiskey sauce
- halibut in florentine sauce
or the more traditional Italian fare of pastas and pizza, you will not
be dissapointed. And, as a finale, share a tiramisu or a sinful
mocha cream.
Compliment your lunch
or dinner with a selection from our wine list, featuring wines from
Italy, Napa Valley and... Julian. Surprised you will be,
with the quality of our local wines!
Stan and Paula,
the new owners, invite you to share in their bounty.
They open their doors daily (except Tuesdays) from 11:30 am till 8:30
pm. Stay late on Friday nights and enjoy piano entertainment in the bar until midnight. Reservations are recommended all year, but most particularly
during the Fall and Winter seasons. Credit cards are accepted.
